Description Finte na hÉireann ~ Clans of Ireland was established in 1989 as an independent permanent organisation to deal with the affairs of Irish Clans. Clans of Ireland maintains a register of Irish Clans and affords clans with an opportunity to communicate and interact with each other. The main objectives of Finte na hÉireann ~ Clans of Ireland are: * To take actions in the interest of Irish Clans or individual Clans as maybe appropriate * To publish the Register of Irish Clans * To advise Irish Clans on issues regarding the establishment and continued existence of Irish Clan Societies * To provide opportunities to increase awareness among the general public regarding Irish Clans and Gaelic Culture
